The Lost Wax Micro Fiction Collective started out as an experiment of gathering prose poets and micro fiction writers. It has wound up being a web portal for inspiration – We pull cues from every form of art and art process and our goal is to stimulate creation and collaboration.

Why Lost Wax?
We originally took our name from a sculpting process that uses molds that are broken away to reveal a much smaller piece. This process is known for capturing fine and intricate detail. Much like this sculpting process, rich microfiction that speaks in the unwritten as much as in the written is produced by creating a bulk of images and words that are then chiseled away until what is left is essential, unique and universal.
